This photoelectric "beam-break" sensor module is designed for high speed rotation counting! The HC-89 module features a narrow beam IR emitter and reciver directly opposite each other encased in the black U-channel. When an object is placed in the channel to block the IR, the on-board LM393 chip registers the break and adjusts the ouput signal to notify the user.
