Mapped pins
When you say the pins are mapped to 17 & 18 for motor 1, do you mean GPIO pins or physical pins?

Controling multiple motors
Is this part stackable? I am looking to use a couple of these to control low power motors (direction and speed) as well as a couple of PicoBorg Reverse - Dual 5A Motor Controllers to control some larger motors - do I need any additional parts?

  • At the heart of this motor controller is the SN754410 IC

    The motors are mapped to the following pins:

    Motor 1 Forward - 17
    Motor 1 Backward - 18

    Motor 2 Forward - 22
    Motor 2 Backward - 23

A simple Motor Controller HAT for Raspberry Pi from ModMyPi! Easy to use & budget friendly, our motor controller board for the Raspberry Pi allows you to easily control 2 motors in both directions with some simple coding!

The board uses the SN754410NE IC that enables the use of Software Pulse Width Modulation on the Pi, for example using PWM to change the value of speed in Scratch.

The product comes fully assembled with our push-fit "plug & play" Single Shroud Header, Socket Header, and 14mm HAT Mounting Kit, so there's no soldering required, just use the screw terminals to attach your motors!
