Optical isolation?
How does this board isolate any 240v loads from the Pi? I am considering using it to switch small inductive loads (AC motorised valves, CH pumps and a contactor), with a total load on the board of c. 300 watts/

Does this include standoffs etc
Hello, Does this include the standoffs etc and header block for the connector for mounting to my pi? If not, what size is recommended?

  • Yes, this comes with all stand offs and screws needed.

    The header that connects the board to the Pi is pre-soldered to this board.

Sequent Microsystems MEGA-IO is a stackable expansion card for Raspberry Pi B+, 2, 3 and Zero/W. The Mega-IO is packed with useful input/output ports to help you expand physical hardware interfacing on the Rasberry Pi / Pi Zero.

Two of the Raspberry Pi’s GPIO pins are used for I2C communication. Another pin is allocated for the interrupt handler, leaving 23 GPIO pins available for the user.

Up to four MEGA-IO cards can be stacked on top of a Raspberry Pi. Any of the inputs of the MEGA-IO can be configured as interrupt inputs.

MEGA-IO adds the following I/O functions:

  • Eight on-board relays
  • Eight 12 bit A/D inputs
  • Eight optically isolated inputs
  • One 12 bit DAC Output
  • Four open collector outputs
  • Six GPIO's
