  • The part is essentially plug & play. No drivers required, but it may depend on the OS you're using. If you need technical support, please post on the forums here: and we'll assist you with set up.

Use with PiCore Player
Hi everybody. I've tried to use this hub with a PiCore Player setup but it doesn't find the network connection. Do I need to install the drivers manually? Thanks in advance
What's the actual Ethernet throughput with a Zero on this device?
  • If the same as mine, which has a DM9601 chip then the bandwidth measured with iperf is approx. 3.8 Mbits/sec Using an Ethernet adaptor with an AX88179 chip in one of the USB ports in this USB hub then the bandwidth measured with iperf is approx. 50 Mbits/sec Hope this helps.

do i need external power supply to use this and what adaptor do I need?
  • No you don't need an external PSU, this will work as a passive HUB.

Use with Ethernet and UPS
Could this be used with both ethernet and a UPS USB cable so that the Raspberry Pi zero can shutdown if there is a power failure. This is a bit more complex than attaching a mouse or keyboard. Thanks
Ethernet without extra power?
Has anyone been able to use the ethernet port on this product, without connecting an extra power supply to the adapter? I've tried mine now in two different Pi0 (one regular, one W) without any success. The ethernet link comes up, configures, and then goes down again. Tried both in Raspbian and Kali. Same behaviour. Nothing connected to the USB ports. Using a 3A power supply for the Pi0 (the ones from WD, for their PiDrives). Thanks in advance!
