Does this device work in both directions?
Hi, my question is: Does this adapter work in both directions? According to the description it can be used for using a PS2 Mouse/Keyboard at the USB Port. I am planning a project in which the Pi (Zero) itself is the keyboard and I need it to send the data via some converter to a PS2 input of a (very) old "PC", i.e. I am looking for a converter that converts the USB keyboard information send by the pi into a PS2 analog signal. Is this possible with this adapter?

  • No, this will only convert PS2 data to USB

The USB to PS/2 Adapter is the perfect solution for those wanting to use PS/2 devices (such as mice, keyboards, capacitive touch pads or magstripe readers) with the Raspberry Pi. It's also handy if you want to connect a keyboard and mouse to a Raspberry Pi without taking up two USB ports! Inside is a full translation chip - a small USB microcontroller that will translate the PS/2 into "USB Keyboard" and "USB Mouse"

Features
  • Fully tested with the Raspberry Pi
  • Total length: 7 inches (178mm)
  • Cable length without connectors: 4 inches (102mm)
  • Weight: 25g
