Pi-DigiAMP+ ModMyPi Case Assembly Instructions

The laser-cut parts of the case are protected by an adhesive film which needs to be removed before assembly.

Bill of Materials

  • Raspberry Pi B+/2/3
  • Pi-DigiAMP+ Full-HD Class D Amplifier
  • 6x Acrylic plates
  • 4x 25mm M/F hex stand-offs
  • 4x 12mm F/F hex stand-offs
  • 4x 8mm M/F hex stand-offs
  • 8x M2.5 5mm screws
  • 4x Rubber feet

NOTE: Acrylic is a hard and stiff plastic which is sensitive to stress concentrations and shares a certain level of fragility with glass. Acrylic can scratch easily and should be cleaned with a mild solution of dish detergent and warm water. Never use cleaners unsuitable for acrylic. Never use a dry, abrasive cloth.

Here are the parts from the case kit:

Follow these images checking parts and orientation of the acrylic pieces. You will see a before and after image for each step. Make sure you have all the parts ready, shown in the before picture.

Start by securing the four 8mm stand-offs to the bottom plate (bottom and top plates are the same) using the screws.

Now place the Pi on to the stand-offs, making sure the thread of the stand-off go through the mounting holes on the Pi. Secure with the four 12mm stand-offs

Now plug the Pi-DigiAMP+ into the Pi's GPIO header and fasten in place using the 25mm stand-offs

Now we need to add each of the side plates, one by one, around the case. Start with the plate that goes on the USB side of the Pi, and work around clockwise. (After the USB plate, do the power/hdmi side plate)

Now we have all the side plates in place, all we need to do now is add the top plate, and secure it in place using the remaining screws!
