The laser-cut parts of the case are protected by an adhesive film which needs to be removed before assembly.

Bill of Materials

  • Raspberry Pi B+/2/3
  • 6x Red Acrylic Pieces
  • 4x M2.5 x 18mm M/F Stand Offs
  • 4x M2.5 x 8mm M/F Stand Offs
  • 4x M2.5 x 11mm F/F Stand Offs
  • 4x M3 x 2mm Nylon Spacer
  • 8x M2.5 Screws

NOTE: Acrylic is a hard and stiff plastic which is sensitive to stress concentrations and shares a certain level of fragility with glass. Acrylic can scratch easily and should be cleaned with a mild solution of dish detergent and warm water. Never use cleaners unsuitable for acrylic. Never use a dry, abrasive cloth.

Here are the parts from the case kit:

Follow these images checking parts and orientation of the acrylic pieces. You will see a before and after image for each step. Make sure you have all the parts ready, shown in the before picture.

Start by securing the four M2.5 x 8mm stand offs to the bottom plate with four of the M2.5 screws.

Place the Pi on top of the 8mm stand offs and secure the Pi with the four 11mm F/F stand offs.

Plug the JustBoom DAC HAT into the Pi's GPIO pins and place a M3 x 2mm nylon spacer over each of the mounting holes.

Next, carefully place the JustBoom AMP on top of the DAC HAT, making sure the mounting holes all align and that the spacers don't move. Then secure it all in place with the M2.5 x 18mm stand offs.

Next we need to add the side walls of the case. Looking at the above picture you can see the arrows indicating which pips are to be placed into the bottom plate.

Start with the Ethernet/USB plate. You might find it easier to loosen the screws on the underside of the bottom plate.

Then the Power/HDMI plate

Now the SD card plate

And finally the GPIO plate

All thats left to do is put the top plate on and fasten with the remaining four screws.
