The laser-cut parts of the case are protected by an adhesive film which needs to be removed before assembly.

NOTE: Acrylic is a hard and stiff plastic which is sensitive to stress concentrations and shares a certain level of fragility with glass. Acrylic can scratch easily and should be cleaned with a mild solution of dish detergent and warm water. Never use cleaners unsuitable for acrylic. Never use a dry, abrasive cloth.
Here are the parts from the case kit:
Follow these images checking parts and orientation of the acrylic pieces. You will see a before and after image for each step. Make sure you have all the parts ready, shown in the before picture.
Insert the male end of the 8mm stand offs into each of the mounting holes on the Pi from the underside. Secure in place with the 11mm stand offs, these should be on the top side of the Pi.
Add the Google AIY HAT to the Pi and fasten with the silver M2.5 screws.
Next we need to attach the speaker and the microphone cable to the Google AIY HAT.
Now attach the speaker to the side plate of the case using the 4-40 screws and 4-40 nuts.
Add the microphone board to the top plate of the case. Secure using the M2 screws and M2 nuts. The nuts should be on the same side is the 5 pin connector.
Now we can start building the case. This can be a bit fiddly. Start by connecting the 4 walls together. Making sure the speaker wires attached to the speaker are facing the top of the case.
Once you've got the 4 walls together, simply place it onto the bottom plate, and gently press them into place. Each corner should clip in.
With the 4 walls and bottom plate all connected, you can now jiggle the Pi into place. We recommend inserting it at a slight angle so that the USB ports go in first.
With the Pi roughly in place, hold the Pi up against the bottom plate, flip the whole lot over and secure the Pi in place using the 4 M2.5 black screws.
Now we can add the button to the top plate. The wires connected to the button need to be on the same side as the microphone board.
Connect the button wires to the Google AIY HAT and the microphone board wires to the microphone board.
Final step is to just pop the lid on, gently pressing it down so each of the clips in the corners clip into place.
